Several years ago, we stopped to offer biodegradable plastic packaging. It was a strategic decision based on simple fact that our products (mostly packaging) are not intended to be degraded in nature or industrial compost sites. We are not against biodegradation but for our plastic product portfolio we favor recyclability. Some costumers were shocked at first, but they respected our decision and concluded also that it\u2019s the best ecological choice.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At the beginning of 2022 similar thing we see for multilayer substrate\/PE non-recyclable packaging. Again, we are only focused on our product portfolio and not on high barrier packaging and solutions which we don\u2019t produce. Now there are good technical solutions for replacing PET\/PE (BOPET\/PE) materials with recyclable mono PE\/PE material.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here one can raise a question why we focus only on PET\/PE?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We don\u2019t focus only on BOPET\/PE,\u00a0but it makes 84 % of all substrate\/PE lamination market so it\u2019s ideal candidate for replacement. Only few years ago technology wasn\u2019t ready for the change without compromising some of advantages that such solution offers.\u00a0 But now we are ready.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

BOPET has excellent modulus, optics and heat resistance, low conformability and commonly used in packaging for medium duty liquid and dry food and non-food products.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Next target is BOPP\/PE packaging which makes 9 % of all substrate\/PE lamination market commonly used in packaging for dry snacks and confectionary.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last target, still in development, is the BOPA\/PE packaging which makes 7 % of all substrate\/PE lamination market commonly used in packaging for liquid food and non-food applications.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
